Biography

Mr. Wisniewski brings considerable expertise to his areas of concentration: complex litigation, property tax appeals, land-use development, government affairs and public/private investigations.

Relying on his extensive background in property tax appeals, he represents municipalities and the owners of large commercial and industrial properties. His experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in these matters offers a unique and valuable perspective.

In his land-use practice, Mr. Wisniewski appears before planning and zoning boards and other local and county agencies on behalf of property owners in all phases of approvals, including site plans, subdivisions, variances and redevelopment designations.

Mr. Wisniewski led the New Jersey legislature’s investigation into the lane closures on the George Washington Bridge. His independent investigations work is now tailored to corporations, governmental entities, audit committees and boards of directors. He also is experienced in dealing with law enforcement agencies. In addition, Mr. Wisniewski advises clients on how to handle government inquiries.

He also has extensive experience in handling complex litigation. He started out handling complex medical malpractice matters and now handles business disputes, zoning/planning matters, foreclosures and commercial matter and landlord-tenant issues. If the case cannot be resolved by other means, litigation is vigorously pursued in the most cost-effective manner.

Mr. Wisniewski began his career practicing municipal bond law with Kraft & Hughes. He then developed his skills as a trial attorney and built up his practice representing handling medical malpractice matters, representing governmental entities in tort claims and other matters, representing land-use clients and business owners in disputes and personal injury plaintiffs and defendants.

Mr. Wisniewski served in the New Jersey General Assembly from 1996 until 2018 where he was Deputy Speaker, Chair of the Assembly’s Transportation & Independent Authorities Committee and Co-Chair of the New Jersey Legislature’s Joint Select Committee on Investigation. From 2010 to 2013, he served as Chairman of the New Jersey Democratic State Committee and was a member of the Democratic National Committee.
