| Biography | Mr. Ruggio focuses his practice on hospital and healthcare litigation and regulatory matters, with an emphasis on representing payors, medical devices and pharmaceutical corporations and the respective officers and directors, as it relates to billing and payment issues. He specializes in the area of health care fraud and abuse under the False Claims Act and in defense of qui tam actions. He has been involved in numerous pharmaceutical, e-health technology, and bio-health cases concerning average wholesale pricing issues, reimbursement fraud, medical necessity and other related matters. Mr. Ruggio represents medical device and pharmaceutical companies in product liability litigation and FDA compliance. He represents numerous large and mid-size integrative medicine groups and many integrative and health freedom trade associations. He is outside general counsel for the American Association of Health Freedom and Optimal Health, P.C. He also adivses corporations in the proper manner to insure compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
