Michael Coburn practises tax law in the Vancouver office of Davis LLP. Prior to joining Davis in 2003, Mr. Coburn practiced at the Vancouver office of another national firm.

· The structuring of the acquisition of significant interest in a publicly-listed Canadian resource company by Japanese investors
· The tax deferred "split-up" of a public company into three separate public companies
· The acquisition of a franchise in the Western Hockey League, one of the major junior hockey leagues in North America
· The acquisition of timber manufacturing facility by a non-resident forestry company
· The offshore acquisition of South American mining assets by a Canadian public company
