Patrick McCay is a tax partner in the Toronto office of McCarthy Tétrault LLP.
He has a domestic and international corporate tax practice focused on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financings, reorganizations, structured finance and other capital markets transactions. He has also represented clients in transfer pricing matters and in disputes before the Canada Revenue Agency, the Ontario Ministry of Finance and the Courts.
He is a regular speaker on tax matters for InfoNex; Federated Press; the Ontario Bar Association and at other forums. He contributes to publications on taxation matters, including publications of CCH, the International Tax Review, Lexpert, and the Canadian Tax Journal.
He is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation and the International Fiscal Association and was formerly on the executive of the tax section of the Ontario Bar Association.
Patrick was named by the International Tax Review as one to watch for the future (2008) and was a finalist in Lexpert's Rising Stars Leading Lawyers Under 40 (2007).
