Biography

Alejandro Jose “Alex” Calderon is an associate in our Asheville office, where he focuses his practices on general liability, governmental liability, and medical malpractice law.

Before joining HBS, Alex served as a summer associate with the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General Corps, where he gained valuable experience in military criminal law from both prosecutorial and defense perspectives. He also handled diverse civil matters, including family law, landlord-tenant disputes, and contract issues. Additionally, Alex worked with a Jacksonville law firm, where he developed experience in civil litigation areas such as governmental liability, real estate disputes, and corporate law.

Alex earned his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University and graduated with honors in Political Science from the University of Central Florida. Fluent in Spanish, he is also a licensed private pilot who enjoys scenic flights, outdoor biking, and hiking with his dog.
