Selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011 Michigan Rising Stars listing in Super Lawyers magazine in the field of Closely Held Business Law. Andrew has represented hundreds of closely held and family businesses as general corporate counsel. His extensive experience in the areas of estate planning and business succession planning is of particular interest to family-owned businesses who need help with this delicate issue. In representing closely held, but growing businesses, Andrew has been instrumental in helping his clients with business purchases, mergers, property tax appeals and security offerings among other things.

Andrew has also developed a niche practice in franchise, licensing and distribution law where he assists franchisors with formation, registration and maintenance of their franchise systems throughout the United States. He also assists franchisees with the review of area developer, royalty, franchise and other licensing and distribution agreements.
