Biography

Anthony J. Virga joined Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. in 2012 and is a Member of the firm’s Litigation Department. Virga represents owners, developers, landlords, and managing agents in all phases of litigation before the New York City and State courts.

Virga has extensive experience in a wide variety of real estate and commercial litigation matters, including, among others, landlord/tenant disputes, guaranty collection actions, Article 78 proceedings, petitions to sell property owned by religious and not-for-profit corporations, contract disputes, and construction access proceeding pursuant to RPAPL 881. Virga also specializes in the Loft Law (Article 7-C of the New York State Multiple Dwelling Law), and routinely advises clients on issues of coverage, protected occupancy status, rent adjustments, and legalization. He has represented clients before New York City Civil Court, New York City Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings, New York State Attorney General’s Office, and New York State Supreme Court.

Virga’s broad experience makes him well rounded and suited to handle any residential or commercial real estate matter. Virga received his bachelor’s degree with a concentration on finance from Marist College, where he graduated magna cum laude, and earned his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in New York.
