About this firm

Rosenberg & Estis, P.C., founded in 1975, is a widely recognized New York City law firm specializing in real estate transactions and litigation. The firm's transactional capabilities include real estate acquisitions, assemblages and development, leasing, financing, construction, and entity and construction agreements. The firm's litigation and administrative groups handle all types of commercial and residential real estate disputes and litigation, including rent regulation, landlord-tenant matters, mortgage foreclosures, partnership matters, condemnation proceedings, brokerage claims, construction and development issues, governmental relations, environmental matters and insurance claims.

Our law firm, founded over 40 years ago, is known for its in-depth knowledge of the New York City real estate market. This level of understanding, combined with our sound business sense, allows us to exceed our clients' expectations, however complex their cases. We are proud of the concrete examples of our work that can be seen throughout New York.

Established by Gary Rosenberg and Warren Estis, the firm began by representing New York City landlords of regulated residential housing. Today, our attorneys practice in all areas of residential and commercial real estate, including development, transactions, litigation and appeals. We continue to be the first choice among the city's most prominent developers, landlords and institutions.

Long-term clients include The Durst Organization, for whom we put together a joint venture with the Bank of America to construct One Bryant Park, a 51-story tower that will serve as the bank's investment banking headquarters. Typical of our high profile transactions is the joint venture between Durst and the Port Authority to build and lease One World Trade Center.

In addition to significant corporate clients, we also represent New York not-for-profit organizations such as the YMCA of Greater New York, the Museum of Modern Art, and Carnegie Hall. Our lawyers' depth of knowledge allows us to devise the most appropriate strategy for each client, whatever their size, entity type or budget.
