Ben Leader is Elrod Pope Law Firm’s newest attorney, joining the practice in September, 2014. He works on Workers’ Compensation and Personal Injury cases. Ben earned his Juris Doctorate in 2013 from Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law located in Raleigh, North Carolina.
While attending school, Ben was very involved. He served on Clemson University’s Leadership Council from 2007-2010 and was acting Vice President (2008-2009). Ben acted as Clemson Student Senator (2007-2009) and served as a Committee Chairman from 2008-2009. Ben was a member of several other groups including Sigma Nu Fraternity Inc., Campbell University Men’s Legal Caucus, York County Clemson Club, and Clemson University Young Alumni Council.
Ben was also the recipient of many honors while attending school. In December of 2008 at Clemson University, he was named Citizen of the Month by the Office of Community and Ethical Standards. He was an active member of Clemson’s Blue Key National Honor Society which represents the top 1% of all student leaders on campus. Ben was also a member of Omicron Delta Kappa- the National Leadership Society- as well as Tiger Brotherhood, which is Clemson’s oldest honorary service society.
While in law school, Ben completed a semester long externship with the Honorable Chief Judge John C. Martin of the North Carolina Court of Appeals. Upon finishing law school and prior to working at Elrod Pope Law Firm, Ben worked as a law clerk to the Honorable John C. Hayes III of the 16th Judicial Circuit of South Carolina. He is also the son of attorney Jack Leader, one of Elrod Pope’s long term partners. Elrod Pope Law Firm is honored to have Ben Leader as part of the team.
