Bradley S. Silverbush joined Rosenberg & Estis in 2009 and is a Senior Litigation Member who has specialized in all facets of litigation for over four decades. He is one of the most respected trial attorneys in New York City with unsurpassed practice in owner representation in real-estate related issues, particularly in landlord-tenant matters. Having been frequently published in leading real estate periodicals like the New York Law Journal and Real Estate Weekly, Silverbush is often quoted in the New York Times and other publications that seek the opinion of an expert on a wide range of legal questions. He has been called upon by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office to confer on matters relating to illegal use of commercial and residential property.
His vast litigation experience includes the various New York City, State, and Federal courts, arbitrations, mediations, appeals, and administrative hearings before the NYS Division of Human Rights, the NYS Division of Housing and Community Renewal, NYC’s Commission on Human Rights, NYC’s Office of Administrative Tribunals and Hearings, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Silverbush has an active trial calendar and is particular about the cases he agrees to undertake. While he has an affinity for and enjoys litigating difficult cases, he is equally adept at dispute resolution. His clients include many well-known owners and developers, numerous cooperatives, condominiums, and individuals.
In 2011 NYPD’s First Deputy Police Commissioner awarded Silverbush the Robert Colangelo Man of the Year award, the first civilian to receive that distinction. Silverbush is currently Legal Counsel to the Society for Professional Investigators and received SPI’s 2022 Distinguished Service Award. He is a member of the City Bar, the New York County Lawyer’s Association, the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the Jewish Lawyers Guild. He is admitted to practice before every court in New York State, including the four Federal District Courts, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the United State Supreme Court.
Silverbush is a Manhattan resident who is well-known throughout the real estate industry as well as the courts. He prides himself on diligence, tenacity, integrity, candor, and thinking “outside the box,” to find ways to win difficult cases for his clients. Well regarded by the judiciary, colleagues, and adversaries alike, he holds a perfect 5.0 AV Preeminent in Litigation rating based upon ethical standards and legal ability and is recipient of the coveted “Top Rated Lawyer in Litigation” recognition from Martindale-Hubbell.
