Biography

Brett Keller Duncan is a dedicated attorney and lifelong resident of Hammond, Louisiana, where he serves as an elected member of the Tangipahoa Parish School Board. After graduating from Hammond High, he joined the Louisiana Army National Guard, serving for a decade with the 205th Engineer Battalion, including a tour in Afghanistan during "Operation Enduring Freedom." His pride in his hometown shone through when he organized an initiative for Hammond to "Adopt" three Afghan villages, showcasing his commitment to community and country. Brett earned numerous military honors, including the Army Commendation Medal and the Louisiana War Cross. He graduated cum laude from Southeastern Louisiana University with a degree in history and government, receiving the prestigious Lieu Award for academic excellence. After obtaining his Juris Doctor from LSU's Paul M. Hebert Law Center, he established a law practice focused on providing practical solutions for families in crisis. Beyond his legal work, Brett has represented over 1,000 abused and neglected children and is actively involved in community service, including organizations like the Boy Scouts and Rotary Club. He is married to Regina M. Lamb, and they have two children, Kendall and Robert.
