Biography

Byron R. Berry received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting from Texas Tech University (1978), and his law degree from South Texas College of Law. He is also licensed by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy as a Certified Public Accountant. He is licensed to practice in all Texas Courts and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas. Member: State Bar of Texas, Denton County Bar Association, Cooke County Bar Association, Denton County Society of Certified Public Accountants, United States Bankruptcy Bar for the Eastern District of Texas, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Dallas Chapter Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He serves as general counsel for Denton County MHMR and does delinquent tax collection for Denton County. Mr. Berry also presides over school related discipline hearings for the Denton Independent School District. His civic services include the following: Leadership Gainesville Steering Committee, Director for North Central Texas College Foundation Advisory Board, Gainesville Adopt-A-School Steering Committee, Director Cooke County Youth Center, coaching boys' baseball and football for the Cooke County Youth Center, Director for Lake Forest Good Samaritan Village Advisory Board, Rotary (Past President), and Legal Counsel to Ann's Haven Hospice. He practices in the areas of personal injury, business, bankruptcy, corporations, probate, and estate planning. Not certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

    Mr. Berry is very intelligent; however he does not demonstrate the work ethic necessary to provide good legal services to his clients. There have been occasions Mr. Berry has simply not shown up for Court without excuse.
