Cecil S. Harvell is a highly respected attorney with an
AV Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating in Trusts and Estates, General
Practice, and Elder Law. A native of Morehead City, North Carolina, he began
practicing law in Georgia in 1983 and later in North Carolina in 1987. Over the
years, he has been actively involved in both his profession and the local
community. He has served as President of the Carteret County Bar Association,
Carteret County Habitat for Humanity, and the Carteret County Chapter of the
North Carolina Symphony. He has also been a leader on the Board of Trustees for
the North Carolina Symphony and the Board of Governors for the Beaufort
Historical Association. His professional memberships include the American Bar
Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the East Carolina
Estate Planning Council. In addition to his legal work, he has been involved
with First Presbyterian Church, St. Egbert’s School Advisory Board, and the
Morehead City Lookout Rotary. Outside of his professional and community
commitments, he enjoys boating, sailing, traveling, and writing.
