Charles Nicholas "Nick" Lavery, a South Carolina
native, has lived and worked in Clemson for over 20 years, building a
distinguished legal career. He began his profession as an Assistant Solicitor,
serving in the 13th Judicial Circuit (Greenville and Pickens Counties) and the
10th Judicial Circuit (Anderson and Oconee Counties). In this role, Nick
prosecuted a variety of cases, ranging from murder to drug offenses and traffic
violations, gaining extensive courtroom experience.
Nick graduated from Furman University, Suffolk University
School of Law, and Mississippi College School of Law. In 2002, he joined Olson,
Smith, Jordan, and Cox, P.A., working primarily in the Clemson office. He
became a partner in 2005, contributing to the firm’s eventual rebranding as
Smith, Jordan, and Lavery.
In 2019, Nick founded his own firm, C. Nicholas Lavery,
P.A., in Clemson. He continues to represent clients in criminal defense cases,
including DUI and other alcohol- and drug-related charges. His practice also
focuses on personal injury claims, automobile and motorcycle accidents,
workers’ compensation, and real estate closings for both residential and
commercial properties across South Carolina. Nick’s commitment to his clients
and his community underscores his dedication to the legal profession.
