Biography

Chris Gorman is an associate in our Litigation Department, concentrating his practice in all phases of commercial litigation in State and Federal Courts. Chris has litigated cases on behalf of corporations and individuals involving a variety of substantive areas of the law, including securities fraud, insurance coverage, employment discrimination, copyright, commercial and residential mortgage foreclosure actions, corporate governance disputes, partnership disputes, breach of contract, bankruptcy litigations, defamation and the full array of business torts. Prior to joining the Firm, Chris was associated with an international law firm, where his practice focused on commercial litigation and white collar criminal defense matters. Chris also served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Gabriel W. Gorenstein of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Chris attended The Catholic University of America, where he graduated cum laude with a degree in Politics and played four years on the varsity football team. Chris earned his law degree magna cum laude from Brooklyn Law School in 2004, where he was a Richardson Scholar and a Notes and Comments Editor for the Brooklyn Law Review. Chris’s article, "Public School Students’ Fourth Amendment Rights After Vernonia and Earls: Why Limits Must be Set on Suspicionless Drug Screening in the Public Schools," was published in the Fall 2004 edition of the Vermont Law Review.

Chris is admitted to practice in New York State, as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
