Biography

Mr. Rathje is an attorney with 20 years of experience representing plaintiffs and defendants. He is an AV Pre-eminent rated attorney. This is given to attorneys who are ranked at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal expertise, communication skills, and ethical standards by their peers. Mr. Rathje’s expertise has been primarily focused on medical malpractice and personal injury.

Mr. Rathje is a 2002 Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center graduate admitted to New York State and the Federal District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. He has served as a mentor for high school mock trial teams and as judge or juror for mock trial tournaments at the law school, college, and high school levels. He served six years in the United States Navy before being honorably discharged.

Mr. Rathje has been an in-house counsel for several major insurance companies and has also worked in private practice on behalf of insurers, physicians, and hospitals, and now applies his knowledge and experience on behalf of those seeking compensation for their injuries.
