Dave L. Simmons, founder of the Law Offices of Dave L. Simmons, P.A., has over 27 years of experience practicing criminal law in Broward County. He earned his undergraduate degree in Communications, cum laude, from Florida State University before attaining his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern Shepard Broad Law School. Mr. Simmons began his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney and then as an Assistant Public Defender in Broward County where he was a lead attoney gaining invaluable experience prosecuting and defending both misdemeanor and felony cases. This dual perspective allows him to analyze criminal matters from every angle and provide strategic, effective defense for his clients. For the past 22 years, Mr. Simmons has focused exclusively on criminal defense in private practice, representing thousands of clients in cases ranging from minor offenses to serious felonies. He is a committed member of the Broward Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and maintains good standing with The Florida Bar and the Supreme Court of Florida.
