David, in his early career was a public defender and a general practitioner. He always worked hard, made sure he was prepared and represented his clients well, without needing to bully the opposition or bs the judges. He is now the County Attorney, and has carried those traits with him. He represents the Commissioners well, but is never afraid to tell them when he feels their actions are not appropriate or legal. He serves them well, at the same time, making sure to serve the public well. Read less

I have had the distinct pleasure of watching Mr. Weiskopf from the time he was a law student moving forward; his growth has been phenomenal and he has matured into an excellent attorney. He has been a great addition to the County Attorney's office.

He researches his client's position, LISTENS to the opposing party, then skillfully tries to negotiate a solution. (I wish more judges had that ability.) He is very attentive to his position as County Attorney and has earned great respect. David is active and innovative as an officer in our St. Mary's County Bar Association. Read less
