Dean Evan Avgerinos

Dean became part of the Golkow Hessel team in 2025 after making a deliberate shift in his practice—from defending injury claims to representing the people bringing them. Having spent his early career in general liability defense, Dean decided to move to the plaintiff side to better stand up for individuals who need an advocate after an accident. He now focuses on personal injury litigation and complex subrogation claims, helping clients seek fair compensation and accountability. Prior to joining Golkow Hessel, Dean worked as an associate at a regional civil litigation firm in its Casualty Litigation Department and Hospitality and Retail Practice Group. There, he advised and defended insurers, self-insured businesses, and third-party administrators in a wide variety of matters, including premises liability, product-related claims, liquor/Dram Shop cases, and other general liability disputes. His clients came from industries such as hospitality, retail, healthcare, and manufacturing, giving him broad insight into how these cases are evaluated and fought. Dean earned his law degree from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law in 2020. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh in 2017 with a degree in Communication & Rhetoric. A Malvern, PA native, Dean is also a graduate of The Episcopal Academy (2013).
