Biography

Ms. Self earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma, where she was recognized on the President’s and Dean’s Honor Rolls. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Affairs and Administration from the same institution and studied law at Oxford University in the UK. A member of the Phi Delta Phi honor legal fraternity, Ms. Self was also named in "Who’s Who: American Law Students." While in law school, Ms. Self owned a business and worked as a judicial law clerk and criminal prosecutor for the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office, handling cases involving negligent homicides, DUIs, and white-collar crimes. She later served as Assistant Attorney General, managing complex multi-state litigation in antitrust, bankruptcy, and consumer fraud, including leading the WorldCom bankruptcy case for 26 states.

Before founding Self Legal Group, Ms. Self held senior legal roles with insurance and medical management companies and worked at a Nashville law firm. Her legal experience spans business start-ups, regulatory compliance, insurance law, and employment issues. Today, she leads Self Legal Group in Oklahoma City, focusing on business law, estate planning, family law, and civil litigation, serving business owners, medical professionals, and individuals with complex legal needs.
