Biography

Derek Larwick didn’t take a typical path to becoming a trial attorney. Before law, he served as a firefighter, building the calm, grit, and steady focus that still show up in the way he handles injury cases today. He went on to excel academically, graduating in the top 2% of his class, serving as Editor-in-Chief of the Oregon Law Review, and later clerking for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Derek also taught Advanced Legal Writing at the University of Oregon School of Law, sharpening the clear communication and persuasive skills that matter in high-stakes cases. As founder of Larwick Injury Law, he’s helped recover millions for injured people across Oregon by combining strong courtroom advocacy with a practical, people-first approach. Derek started the firm to modernize injury law, using technology to make the process smoother while keeping the focus on clients, not paperwork. Outside of work, he’s a devoted husband and dad of four who loves spending time outdoors in the Pacific Northwest.
