Biography

Emily McFarling is a distinguished family law attorney and the founder of McFarling Cohen Fic & Squires, having established her solo practice in Las Vegas in 2003. Over the years, Emily has cultivated a reputation for her extensive experience, tenacity, and professionalism, earning the respect of colleagues and judges alike. In 2010, she achieved the designation of Certified Family Law Specialist by the State Bar of Nevada—the highest family law credential available in the state. Her practice is centered on representing clients in complex appeals and high-stakes matters before the Nevada Supreme Court, Nevada Court of Appeals, and Clark County District Court, with licensure extending to the U.S. Supreme Court and additional state courts in Arizona and California. Emily is a fellow of both the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the International Academy of Family Lawyers. She is AV Preeminent rated by Martindale Hubbell and is active in the Hague Convention Attorney Network. Beyond litigation, Emily serves as a certified arbitrator, mediator, and parenting coordinator. Her comprehensive legal acumen includes international custody, complex asset divisions, and high-conflict parenting disputes. Emily is also an accomplished author, jazz and country singer, global traveler, and mother.
