Biography

Erin Rohan is Special Counsel with Ball Janik LLP’s Construction Defect practice group. Ms. Rohan is a Florida Board Certified Specialist in Construction Law, designated by the Florida Bar as an expert in Construction Law (fewer than 1% of all lawyers in Florida have achieved this designation). Ms. Rohan has extensive experience handling multi-million dollar construction related disputes, significant litigation experience as well as outstanding written and oral advocacy skills. She also has significant experience handling jury and non-jury civil trials in addition to arbitration final hearings.

Ms. Rohan’s experience includes litigation, corporate work, liens/bonds, insurance coverage issues, contract drafting and review, and licensure issues. Due to her extensive experience with construction liens, insurance coverage and construction defect claims, she is a frequent speaker and educator on these subjects to both other attorneys and professionals in the residential and commercial construction or real estate industries.

Ms. Rohan also has extensive experience with transactional construction related matters including preparation of statutorily required notices, liens, and construction contracts. She has represented both professionals in the construction industry as well as owners of commercial or residential property in connection with the preparation of construction related contracts and planning for projects.
