Biography

I am the CEO and Co-Founder of Shankar Ninan & Co., a law firm that provides comprehensive legal services to small and medium-sized businesses in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. I have over a decade of experience in business and employment counseling and litigation, and I serve as outside General Counsel to numerous clients, helping them align their legal operations with their corporate objectives and resolve complex challenges. As a successful business owner, I have a solid base to advise entrepreneurs and the companies they run. As an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers Law School, I co-taught a course on Deposition Advocacy, sharing my knowledge and skills with the next generation of lawyers. I am also a Faculty Member at Lawline, where I teach continuing legal education courses. I have been recognized for my leadership and achievements by several organizations, including SuperLawyers, Rutgers Law Alumni Association, the New Jersey Law Journal, and Binghamton University Alumni Association. I am passionate about serving the legal community and advancing diversity and inclusion in the profession, having served in leadership roles on several Asian and South Asian affinity associations.After graduating cum laude from Binghamton University in 2008, I earned my law degree from Rutgers University in 2011, where I served on the Journal of Law and Religion. I went on to clerk for the Honorable Stephen M. Holden, Ph.D., J.S.C., and worked at several associate roles in New York and New Jersey in large national law firms before starting my own law practice.
