Harmon S. Spolan

At Cozen O’Connor, Harmon served as chair of the financial services practice group, part of the firm’s Corporate Practice Group, and held the role of co-marketing partner. He has also been active in public and corporate leadership, including service—by mayoral appointment—on the Investment Committee of the Economic Conversion Fund for the Philadelphia Naval Base. Harmon was a director of Coleman Cable, Inc. until its acquisition in 2014. He currently sits on the boards of Clipper Realty Trust (NYSE), American European Insurance Group, and Cohen & Co.’s Alesco bank surveillance group, and he maintains membership in both the Philadelphia and American Bar Associations. Harmon earned his undergraduate degree at Temple University and his J.D. at Temple University School of Law, and he pursued graduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and at Brasenose College, Oxford. He also served on the faculty of Wharton’s Department of Legal Studies. He is admitted in Pennsylvania and in several courts, including the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Third Circuit, and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Harmon holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has received awards such as the ADL Torch of Liberty Award and the ZOA Annual Award. He is married to Betty Jane Spolan and is the proud father of two and grandfather of four.
