James Christopher Munley is an award-winning plaintiffs' attorney who has spent his career representing accident victims and their families. A board-certified civil trial advocate, Chris is widely recognized across the country as a leading personal injury and truck accident lawyer, with multiple multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements reflecting his commitment to every client he represents.

His work in truck accident litigation earned him a place on the Best Lawyers in America list starting in 2012. He has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer since 2013 and was included in the 2024 Lawdragon 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers guide. Chris has also been named to the Irish Legal 100 and holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

A strong advocate for workers' rights as well, Chris was named Workers' Compensation Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers in America.

Beyond the courtroom and negotiating table, Chris is active in the communities Munley Law serves across Pennsylvania. He chairs Lackawanna County's PNC Field, home of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, the New York Yankees' Triple-A affiliate, and serves as President of the Scranton Club and a board member for the Northeast Pennsylvania Chapter of the Girl Scouts of America. He has served as an ambassador for Meals on Wheels and regularly speaks at senior community centers on safety topics relevant to older adults.

Chris is also the founder of ATLAS LAWYERS Legal Seminars, a national conference series bringing attorneys together to exchange ideas on building and managing a successful law firm today.

He and his wife, Dr. Maria Yager Munley, are the parents of two children.
