Biography

Jim Nugent has dedicated his legal career to representing individuals in personal injury and insurance claims since 1989. His commitment to understanding each client’s unique situation sets him apart – Jim takes the time to learn their stories and goals, which allows him to present compelling cases that resonate with judges and juries. This approach has resulted in numerous successful outcomes, including multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements for his clients.

As a former infantryman in the Connecticut Army National Guard, Jim brings discipline and determination to his legal practice. His service continued during his first seven years as an attorney, reinforcing his commitment to standing up for others. When not in the courtroom, Jim channels his energy into endurance sports, having completed seven Ironman triathlons. His dedication to preparation and perseverance in these demanding events mirrors his approach to legal advocacy.

Jim’s family is central to his life. He and his wife Julie have two sons – Jimmy, who works as a CPA in New Hampshire, and Patrick, who recently joined Nugent & Bryant as an attorney, continuing the family’s legal tradition of helping those in need.
