James M. Schottenstein, President of Schottenstein Law Legal Services Co., LPA, is a Columbus native, born February 8, 1947. He began his legal practice in the early 1970s and has maintained a wide range of professional admissions ever since. Mr. Schottenstein was admitted to the Ohio bar in November 1972, followed by admission to the Florida Bar in 1973. His credentials also include authorization to appear in several federal courts. In 1975, he was admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and the U.S. Tax Court. He later gained admission to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio in 2003. In 2006, Mr. Schottenstein was admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, further extending his ability to represent clients at the appellate level.
