Jason M. Ewert

Jason M. Ewert is one of the managing attorneys in the labor and employment department at Mastagni Holstedt. His practice focuses on labor and employment law, with a specific emphasis on advising and representing public employee associations and their members. Jason is also an experienced PORAC Legal Defense Fund panel attorney and is admitted in all California state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. He represents clients in disciplinary matters, grievances, critical incidents, unfair practice proceedings and civil writ proceedings. Jason is also a POST certified instructor and he has conducted numerous trainings concerning the California Public Records Act, Public Safety Officers’ Procedural Bill of Rights, Firefighters’ Procedural Bill of Rights Act, Meyers-Milias-Brown Act, and other statutes guaranteeing labor and employment rights to employees. Jason prides himself on building lasting relationships and being available to his clients during all phases of their cases.

Prior to joining Mastagni Holstedt, Jason served as Deputy City Attorney at the City of San Bernardino where his primary assignments included advising all City departments regarding employment issues and personnel actions, and representing the City during labor negotiations with employee bargaining units. When not practicing law, Jason enjoys mountain biking and sailing with his wife.
