Biography

Jori Quinlan is a Partner in our office in Missoula, Montana, and she defends the rights of physicians, nurses, hospitals, health care groups, and other professionals in complex medical malpractice litigation and other general litigation.

Jori also works closely with a wide range of businesses on corporate, nonprofit, and employment law matters, counseling clients on critical governance and human resources issues to prevent future disputes and minimize risk. Jori has successfully defended several appeals to preserve hard-won victories and important precedents for clients.

She has extensive experience defending health care professionals, hospitals, and other medical facilities in complex medical malpractice and liability cases. She works closely with each client to develop a legal strategy that minimizes risk while efficiently and effectively resolving the matter. She also has an active corporate and employment law practice across numerous industries for businesses of all sizes.

Earlier in her career, Jori clerked for the Hon. Donald W. Molloy and the Hon. Chief Justice Dana L. Christensen of the United States District Court for the District of Montana, which strengthened her writing and research skills and gave her a deeper appreciation for the rule of the law and the vital role of experienced attorneys. She is adept at anticipating the actions and reactions of plaintiffs’ counsel to develop effective legal strategies as a case unfolds and at understanding and responding empathetically to the human stories at the heart of all litigation.

Jori earned a Juris Doctor with high honors from the University of Montana, where she was Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Montana Law Review. She completed a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in History and Sociology at Columbia University.
