Biography

Katherine Stepp focuses her practice on complex civil litigation for clients across the country, representing both individuals and businesses on the plaintiff and defense sides. Recognized for her professional achievements by Thomson Reuters, D Magazine, and others, she is frequently called on in matters where the facts are technical and the stakes are high. Ms. Stepp handles cases involving toxic torts, commercial litigation, oil and gas disputes, employment litigation, and serious injury claims, including premises liability, product liability, catastrophic personal injury, and wrongful death. She previously practiced with Deans & Lyons and with Beirne, Maynard & Parsons in Dallas, building strong trial experience in both jury and bench trials. Her background also reflects a long-standing commitment to advocacy and leadership, including roles at SMU such as Executive Director of the Moot Court Board and recognition with the “Master Advocate” Award.
