When I was in private practice, I often referred cases to Ms. Sandweiss. Not out of friendship but because I knew she is an excellent attorney. Invariably, the clients came back to me and reported what a great job she had done. I recall she took one case on remand from the court of appeals and was able to prepare such an effective motion for summary judgment that the opposing counsel simply conceded the case and settled. She is the epitome of what an appallate lawyer should be - prepared, creative, a good writer and forthright. She is one of those lawyers who, when they appear before me on an appeal and recount what occurred in the trial court and what the law is or should be, I know what she says is accurate, clear and honest.
