Kevin K. Trout is a Partner in our Oklahoma City office with more than 25 years of litigation experience and specializes in medical malpractice and aging services defense.
Kevin protects the rights of hospitals, aging care facilities, physician practice groups, insurers, and other health care professionals in the riskiest and most complex cases such as catastrophic injury, traumatic brain injury, amputation, negligent care, wrongful diagnosis, and a wide range of other matters.
He has spent his entire career representing health care clients at the state and federal level, and he also guides clients through the appellate process to protect a hard-fought victory or overturn an unfavorable outcome. Additionally, Kevin counsels clients on internal investigations, licensure and credentialing, regulatory and compliance matters, administrative processes, employment and contract issues, and other day-to-day business and operational matters.
Before joining Hall Booth Smith, Kevin spent more than 25 years litigating at other firms in Oklahoma that specialize in medical malpractice and health care defense.
Kevin earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma, and he also completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Oklahoma.

Kevin defends hospitals, nursing homes and long-term care facilities, physician practice groups, insurers, and other health care professionals in complex and high-exposure cases. He has successfully resolved numerous risky lawsuits such as traumatic brain injury, catastrophic injury, negligence, and wrongful diagnosis.
