Biography

Kevin Hastings is a tenacious and talented attorney who has dedicated his life to helping those injured by the wrongful acts of others. A northwest native, Kevin comes from a family of commercial fisherman and was inspired to become a lawyer when his uncle suffered catastrophic injury while fishing in the Bering Sea. His uncle’s injury has shaped many aspects of Kevin’s life, but most importantly, it motivates him to fight tirelessly for his clients.

Kevin welcomes cases with the highest stakes and longest odds, and focuses his practice on personal injury, group home sexual abuse, government liability, wrongful death, class actions, bad faith insurance law, and civil rights. His work tremendously impacts the lives of his clients and their families, and his efforts can be the difference between a client obtaining the means for proper long-term medical support versus filing for bankruptcy due to overwhelming medical bills.

Being the first in his family to graduate college took a lot of grit. While earning tuition money by fishing and other work, Kevin always knew that law was his calling. It was a passion that never let up – he is relentless, determined and thorough, earning the admiration of his colleagues. He respects and appreciates each client’s story and their unique situation, an approach that makes him a better advocate on their behalf.

Kevin began his legal career as a judicial law clerk for Judge C.C. Bridgewater and Judge Jill Johanson at the Washington State Court of Appeals, Division II. Through his work at the court, Kevin gained insight into the judicial process and honed his lawyering skills. After his two-year clerkship, Kevin joined PCVA to fight for clients and pursue justice on their behalf.

In his spare time, Kevin enjoys skiing, snowboarding, hunting, fishing, hiking, cooking, and most of all spending time with his family.
