Biography

Laura Baker is a Shareholder at the Law Offices of John Day and one of Nashville’s top personal injury and wrongful death trial attorneys. With 18 years of experience, she represents injured people and families across Tennessee in serious injury and complex tort litigation, including car and truck accidents, wrongful death claims, slip and fall injuries, medical malpractice, and dangerous product cases. Laura has successfully handled hundreds of cases and is known for thorough preparation, strategic litigation, and courtroom-ready advocacy.

She served as Chair of the 2021 Campaign for Equal Justice for the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands, where she helped lead an unprecedented $1 million campaign to support access to free civil legal services.

A Nashville native, Laura earned her J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where she concentrated in Advocacy and Dispute Resolution and competed on the National Trial Team. She was awarded the Tennessee Attorney General’s Award of Excellence in Trial Advocacy. Laura earned her undergraduate degree from Rhodes College.
