Lauren Gilbert

Dallas divorce attorney Lauren Gilbert saw her parents go through a contentious divorce as a child. She knows the kind of turmoil that the process can inflict on families, and that is why she has made a career of practicing family law.

“I want to counsel clients through the difficult process to end up with the best result for the whole family,” Ms. Gilbert said.

Ms. Gilbert is a creative problem-solver. That skill comes in handy when practicing family law. Sometimes the divorce process requires some outside-the-box thinking in order for the parties to come to a reasonable agreement or settlement. “Family law proceedings can be as friendly or contentious as the parties choose to make them,” she said. “My role is to advise the clients of their different options and help them reach the best possible outcome.”

Prior to joining Cordell & Cordell, Ms. Gilbert practiced family law.

In addition, Ms. Gilbert is a member of the Cordell Appellate Practice Division, where in addition to specializing in domestic law for fathers and men, she also focuses on appellate work, often assisting other Cordell attorneys nationwide with appeals. Associations
