Biography

Shanter Chaparro is a partner in our Charleston office whose practice focuses on a broad range of business litigation, construction defect, personal injury, product defect, and general liability matters. His knowledge of the construction industry and business combined have allowed him to develop and implement litigation strategies that continuously deliver results aligned with his clients’ goals.

Prior to joining HBS, Shanter represented contractors and developers in complex construction defect litigation, including large multi-family and class action construction defect cases at a boutique law firm in Charleston. He also routinely represented other construction clients in premises liability, personal injury, and mechanic’s lien cases.

Shanter earned his Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law, where he received the CALI Award of Excellence in Corporate Taxation and was named on the Dean’s List for multiple semesters. He earned his Master of Business Administration in Finance from the College of Charleston as well as a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government from Methodist University.
