Marc A. Lieberman

Certified as bankruptcy law specialists by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization, Mr. Lieberman is a litigator with special expertise in pre-bankruptcy planning and complex bankruptcy matters on behalf of creditors, debtors, and bankruptcy trustees. He counsels clients throughout the country on bankruptcy matters pending in California, Delaware, Nevada, Texas, New York, Illinois, and Florida.

Mr. Lieberman's clients include small and medium size businesses, real estate developers and commercial property owners, entrepreneurs, franchisees and assisted living facility operators, high profile entertainers and recording artists, physicians attorneys and financial professionals,, bankruptcy trustees receivers and parties to state law assignment (ABC) proceedings, investment banking firms, and lending institutions.

Mr. Lieberman is often engaged to assist other attorneys and financial professional with bankruptcy-related issues confronting their clients. He speaks and writes on Chapter 11 matters of particular interest to small business owners confronting insolvency issues themselves or unexpectedly caught up in the bankruptcy of a vendor, customer or tenant.

Mr. Lieberman is member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Los Angeles and California Bankruptcy Forums, the Financial Lawyers Conference, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the Southern California Business Litigation Inn of Court, and the James T. King Bankruptcy Inn of Court, and long-time member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association’s Order of Distinguished Attorneys.

A former Chairman of the Bankruptcy Section of the Beverly Hills Bar Association, the recipient of the BHBA’s Board of Governors’ Award. a former member of boards of Public Counsel, the Beverly Hills Bar Association and an officer of its Foundation. Mr. Lieberman received his law degree from the UCLA School of Law and an A.B. with High Honors from Brown University. Mr. Lieberman works in Spanish, French, and Portuguese.
