Biography

Mark specializes in life sciences, health law and corporate law.

Mark represents physician groups, hospitals and other health care providers in all facets of their business, including general corporate matters, employment matters, equipment and office leasing, business litigation, regulatory compliance, physician-hospital contracting, managed care contracting, and clinical research contracting.

Mark also practices extensively in the life sciences area, representing companies that develop and manufacture pharmaceutical and biotechnology products, diagnostics, and medical devices. Mark has handled a wide range of life science matters, including the formation of various strategic alliances, in-licensing and out-licensing of technology, clinical trial contracting, business planning and financing, FDA regulatory work, manufacturing and distribution contracting, and intellectual property strategy. He serves as General Counsel to a biopharmaceutical and medical device company specializing in pregnancy health, which he helped form and establish.

In addition, Mark represents several small businesses in connection with their general corporate needs, including corporate formation, employment matters, equipment and office leasing, and business litigation.

Finally, Mark has a broad background in commercial litigation, having represented clients in several multi-million dollar cases, including contract disputes, business tort cases, creditors' rights cases, and other litigation matters. Mark has successfully represented clients before both state and federal courts of appeal.

In law school, Mark worked as an intern for the Honorable John T. Nixon, U.S. District Court Judge for the Middle District of Tennessee.
