Biography

Mathew Placzek joined Lowther Johnson as an Associate in 2009 after clerking with the firm during law school. Mat provides a wide range of services to his clients in civil litigation, general business consulting, personal injury, wrongful death, landlord-tenant, and collections. Mat is a full service attorney assisting his clients in all stages of litigation including trials. Mat has successfully tried numerous cases concerning landlord-tenant and collection matters and has procured favorable results in personal injury matters. In addition to being a litigator, Mat also represents individuals and businesses and real estate matters and provides general consulting services. Prior to entering law school Mat received a degree in American Political Economy. He frequently uses his background in economics to assist his business clients in formulating legal strategies that not only achieve good legal results but also maximizes profitability. Mat is a lifelong Springfield resident and takes pride in helping individuals and local businesses in his community.
