Biography

Meena Allen is the founding member of Allen Law Firm, LLC. Prior to starting her own firm, Ms. Allen was a partner for almost fifteen years at a civil defense firm. Her practice is focused primarily on the representation of clients in a wide variety of commercial matters and insurance related disputes, including representation in litigation, breach of contract, insurance coverage, bad faith actions, class actions and medical malpractice. Ms. Allen has tried numerous cases to verdict in state and federal courts. Ms. Allen maintains a vibrant appellate practice and has authored numerous appellate briefs.

Ms. Allen is a Member of ABOTA. She is also AV rated and rated on Super Lawyers as an Insurance Coverage attorney for 2015-2025. Ms. Allen was also rated as Top 25: New Mexico Super Lawyers for years 2023, 2024 and 2025. Ms. Allen was the recipient of the 2019 Outstanding Civil Defense Lawyer by the New Mexico Defense Lawyers Association. Ms. Allen has authored articles for the DRI on insurance matters.

Ms. Allen is admitted to the New Mexico bar, U.S. District Court, District of New Mexico; U.S. Court of Appeals, 10th Circuit; New Mexico, Hopi Tribal Courts and Navajo Nation Tribal Courts. She has also practiced in other state court and tribal courts including Turtle Mountain Tribal Courts and Ft. Berthold Tribal Courts.

Ms. Allen graduated from University of Connecticut School of Law with her LL.M.; obtained her JD from Texas Tech University School of Law, MCJ from New Mexico State University and her Bachelors of Science from University of Madras.

She is a Member of State Bar of New Mexico, Navajo Nation, Hopi Bar, American Bar Association, New Mexico Defense Lawyers Association and Alpha Phi Sigma.
