In 2020, he obtained a $15 million settlement for a motorcyclist whose leg was amputated above the knee after he was involved in a crash with an automobile. In one of his first jury trials with the firm, Mr. Schostok won a $3.73 million verdict for a man who was injured when he was struck by a drowsy driver who drifted onto the sidewalk.

Prior to being named an Associate, Mr. Schostok worked as a law clerk at the firm. During his tenure as a law clerk, he worked on numerous high-profile cases and trials. Before that, Mr. Schostok was a law clerk at another prominent Chicago personal injury law firm for two and a half years.

He is the son of late Partner Michael P. Schostok and is humbled to be working at the firm that shares his namesake.

“Being able to call myself a lawyer, the most noble profession, has so far been the greatest honor and achievement of my life – and to be able to do it in the footsteps of my father and his partner Patrick Salvi, makes it even more special. I look forward to helping victims of negligence for many years to come.” Michael J. Schostok said.

Mr. Schostok belongs to several national, state and local legal organizations, including the Illinois State Bar Association and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.
