Biography

Michael P. Kruszewski focuses his practice on bankruptcy and insolvency matters, business reorganizations and restructurings, turnarounds and workouts, bankruptcy litigation, and mediation.

Mike regularly represents corporate debtors, secured creditors, unsecured creditor committees, and individuals in business reorganization proceedings. He also has extensive experience with out-of-court commercial loan workouts, state court collection matters, and commercial litigation. Mike has further experience with bankruptcy mediation and is an approved mediator for the United States Bankruptcy Court and District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. He is also well-versed in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 consumer bankruptcy matters.

Mike was local counsel to Honeywell International, Inc. for the effectual $1.3 billion settlement with the North American Refractories Asbestos Personal Injury Settlement Trust in the WDPA Bankruptcy Court. Mike was also counsel in the successful reorganization of Tri-State Pain Institute, LLC, and its affiliates.
