Ignacio J. Segurola is an experienced Florida litigation attorney at Ferraro Law. With more than two decades of experience, Mr. Segurola has represented clients in a wide range of personal injury and wrongful death cases, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, negligent security, and medical malpractice. He is known for his relentless advocacy, strategic litigation style, and deep ties to the South Florida legal and civic communities.
Mr. Segurola began his legal career after earning his J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law in 1998. During law school, he served as President of the Spanish American Law Students Association, a Director in the Law College Council, and was a member of Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity. He also clerked at High, Stack, Palahach & Lazenby in Coral Gables and interned with the Public Defender’s Office in Miami. Upon graduation, he joined High Stack as an associate.
In 1999, Mr. Segurola launched his own practice, Ignacio J. Segurola, P.A., and in 2000, co-founded the firm Del Amo & Segurola, PL, with offices in Coral Gables and West Palm Beach. He later continued practicing under his own name before joining Morgan & Morgan in 2021. In 2024, he brought his extensive litigation background to Ferraro Law.
Mr. Segurola has secured numerous successful results for his clients, including a $1,382,427.71 verdict in Pedro Cabrera v. City of Miami, a $1.6 million verdict in Ernesto Segui v. Robbie Barroso, and multiple confidential settlements exceeding $1 million in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases.
He is a member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Mr. Segurola has been recognized as one of Florida’s Legal Elite by Florida Trend Magazine and is an AV Preeminent® rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Coral Gables Bar Association and holds memberships in several national and state trial advocacy organizations, including the Cuban American Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Segurola is committed to public service. He served as an elected Councilmember in the Village of Key Biscayne (2018–2022), as Vice-Chairman of the Key Biscayne Underground Utility Task Force (2017–2018), and later as Council Liaison to the Task Force.
