John Torgenson is dedicated to representing individuals who have been
harmed. He hails from St. George, Utah, where his upbringing
instilled in him a strong work ethic and a sense of accountability.
He was taught to stand up for himself and for others facing
adversity. John completed his undergraduate studies at the University
of Utah in 2001 before pursuing his passion for law at Notre Dame Law
School, where he graduated with honors in 2004.
John is licensed
to practice law in Arizona, the United States Federal District Court
of Arizona, and the 9th Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. Before
founding Torgenson Law, he gained valuable experience working in the
litigation group at Fennemore Craig, one of Arizona's oldest and
largest law firms. John is appreciative of the opportunities and
mentorship he received at Fennemore Craig, where he honed his legal
skills.
His time at
Fennemore Craig involved practicing in both defense and plaintiff's
practice areas, providing him with a well-rounded perspective on the
litigation process. This unique background enhances his credibility
with various legal stakeholders, including defense lawyers, insurers,
defendants, judges, and arbitrators.
John's legal
career is devoted to advocating for individuals who have been harmed
by insurance companies and corporate interests. He proudly embraces
the label of a "personal injury lawyer" and seeks to
redefine it. He envisions personal injury law as a means of helping
vulnerable individuals rebuild their lives in the face of adversity,
rather than a pursuit of profit at the expense of the injured. John
stands up for real people against corporate interests and insurance
companies, striving to secure justice for those in their darkest
times.
