Mr. Kenneth S. Hines

Kenneth S. Hines is the managing attorney at the Law Office of David D. White, PLLC. He has practiced law in Texas since 2008 and leads the firm's expungement and nondisclosure practice.

Before moving to trial-level defense, Kenneth served as General Counsel to the Texas Senate Jurisprudence Committee. That work gave him a working knowledge of how Texas criminal statutes are drafted and amended, and he applies it now to reading charging instruments and police reports for the weaknesses in them.

His record-clearing practice starts with the disposition. Expungement eligibility is not applied uniformly across Texas, and what a court will grant differs county to county. Kenneth researches the original disposition in each case and gives clients a direct answer about which remedy is available, an expunction under Chapter 55 of the Code of Criminal Procedure or an order of nondisclosure, before anything is filed.

He handles the firm's full criminal docket alongside that work, including DWI, drug offenses, family violence, sex offenses and white collar matters, in Travis, Williamson and the surrounding Central Texas counties.

A native of Wichita Falls, Kenneth graduated from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas in 2004 and earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston in 2008.
