Biography

Nathan Burrow is a Director in the firm’s Mobile office, where he handles litigation throughout Alabama and Mississippi. His practice primarily focuses on complex personal injury and wrongful death litigation, construction defect litigation, and workers’ compensation claims in Alabama and Mississippi.

Nathan has extensive experience representing commercial trucking owners/operators, premises owners, maritime/industrial/manufacturing clients and medical professionals in injury litigation relating to commercial vehicle accidents, product’s liability actions, medical malpractice lawsuits, premises liability and negligent security claims. In addition, a substantial portion of his practice is dedicated to representing architects, engineers, and contractors in professional liability and construction defect litigation. He is also experienced in handling insurance bad-faith litigation. Throughout his career, he has also represented employers and insurance carriers under the Alabama and Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Acts. He is a frequent speaker on workers’ compensation practices and procedures.

Nathan approaches each case intending to resolve his client’s legal issues efficiently and cost-effectively. Having defended and tried civil cases and workers’ compensation claims to verdicts in Alabama, Mississippi and Florida, he has consistently displayed the knowledge and ability to guide clients through the litigation process from initial claim investigation through trial and appeal. A skilled legal writer and persuasive oral advocate, Nathan has obtained summary dismissal of numerous lawsuits via motion practice in state and federal court. He has also briefed and argued cases before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Alabama Supreme Court, the Mississippi Supreme Court, and the Mississippi Court of Appeals.

Born and raised in central Mississippi, Nathan moved to Gulfport, MS, after law school, where he clerked for U.S. Chief Magistrate Judge John M. Roper in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. He has practiced on the Gulf Coast his entire legal career. He and his family live in Pascagoula, Mississippi, where he remains professionally and civically active. He is a member of the Harrison County, Jackson County and Mobile Bar Associations and the Russell-Blass-Walker chapter of the American Inns of Court. In 2023, Mississippi Business Journal recognized him as a Leader in Law.
