Biography

With more than three decades of experience in criminal and military law, Patrick J. McLain has established himself as a formidable advocate both inside and outside the courtroom. A retired Marine Corps military judge, he previously served as a JAG attorney, representing active-duty service members facing serious criminal charges. His deep understanding of military justice continues to guide his practice today as he defends those who serve.

Following his military career, Mr. McLain served as a federal prosecutor in Dallas, where he handled complex cases involving child exploitation, sex crimes, cyber offenses, and a wide spectrum of federal crimes. This rare combination of prosecutorial and defense experience enables him to anticipate opposing strategies and build powerful, results-driven defenses.

Through his worldwide military law practice, he remains dedicated to serving active-duty personnel with the same discipline, integrity, and resolve that defined his military career.

Today, the Law Office of Patrick J. McLain, PLLC, headquartered in Dallas, represents clients in Texas state courts and in federal courts nationwide.
