Biography

I've wanted to be a lawyer since I was 15. After college, I served as a Navy officer for 4 year, then entered the U of San Diego Law School, graduating in 1982. I was admitted to law practice in Washington State in 1983. I first served as the City of Lynnwood assistant city prosecutor for 4 years before starting my own private law practice in Lynnwood in 1987. For the next 42 plus years, I practiced criminal defense and personal injury law. My practice was focused in the district and municipal courts of Snohomish and King counties. During that time, I was honored to receive the Snohomish County Bar President's Award twice, in 1995 and 2010, for my volunteer efforts.
