Biography

Richard “Wells” Littlefield is a Partner in our office in Brunswick, Georgia. His practice primarily focuses on litigation defense in the areas of medical malpractice, correctional health care, nursing home, transportation, and general liability matters.

Wells resides with his wife, Allison, on St. Simons Island, Georgia. He is a former Air Force officer and combat veteran with more than 22 years of combined experience in law, project management, and business leadership.

Prior to joining Hall Booth Smith, Wells held a variety of different positions, including serving as an Air Force judge advocate, assistant public defender, and as the deputy general counsel and director of operations for a medicinal solutions startup.

While deployed to Afghanistan in 2012 as a judge advocate, he spearheaded and served as the lead officer to implement a bilateral international agreement between the United States and Afghanistan on the transfer of enemy combatant detainees to Afghan custody. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and four Commendation Medals for his accomplishments.

Wells earned his Bachelor of Science from the United States Air Force Academy, where he received distinction as an Outstanding Graduate of the Legal Studies Department and was a varsity letter winner in soccer. He subsequently earned his Juris Doctor from the Florida Coastal School of Law in 2008.
